The Mobile Ag Classroom is a wonderful opportunity for students to experience Georgia’s diverse agriculture in a new and exciting way. As an ag teacher, I have seen that more and more of our students are generations removed from the farm and have no idea where their food and fiber comes from. The Mobile Ag Classroom will help support our new elementary ag program and it comes directly to our school!

The Georgia Veterinary Medical Association has wanted to take a more active role in recruiting a more diverse population of students willing to give back to their local communities, especially in areas underserved by veterinarians.  The Georgia Ag Experience provided us with an excellent opportunity to attract and encourage the best and the brightest to join us in veterinary medicine.

Agriculture is the largest industry in Georgia. With the expansion of Agricultural Education curriculum into elementary schools students can now be taught about agriculture’s impact on the economy. The mobile ag classroom will enhance STEM education by providing students in rural, urban and suburban areas accurate hands-on learning. We have always had a strong connection with Georgia Farm Bureau and we appreciate them making the mobile classroom available to all of Georgia’s elementary students.
